EVENTS ITINERARIES:
Summary for the nationwide campaign for All Day Natural Cocoa Powder beverage consumption and Made-In-Ghana Innovative Products are as follows:
Events activities for 2024- 2030 slated for Greater Accra Region:
- Number of Assemblies: All (29) MMDAS in Greater Accra. Duration: 90 DAYS.
Events for the remaining 15 regions in Ghana:
3 days launching of activities within each 15 Regional Capitals
- 42 days of event activities within each Regions during the Nationwide Campaign.
- 14 days of event activities within each District in Ghana.
The mode of employment, in collaboration with host Cocoa Coffee Sheanut Farmers Association Limited (COCOSHEA) and MMDAs within each region, is to do selections through the various assemblies. Age groups to be considered are between 18 years and above. MMDAs in Greater Accra will have an opened window of employment for 100 staff each, summing up to about 2900 staff for Greater Accra; whilst MMDAs within the remaining 15 regions of Ghana have an opened window of permanent employment for 100 to 500 people; uneducated and educated (with various educational backgrounds, from basic to tertiary) alike.
Piloted Nationwide Cocoa Events (2009 Events Activities)
The first ever International Cocoa and Chocolate Festival was developed and planned by Engineer Benjamin Amponsah Fordjour -CEO of Centuries International Cocoa Chocolate Festival Organisation, a subsidiary of Centuries Group. The event was held at the Ghana Trade Fair Centre, La -Accra for 14 days successfully.
With an outstanding coordination of activities by Mr. Stephen Kofie Dzilah of blessed memory for a 3 day Cocoa and Chocolate Festival Forum at La Beach hotel in Accra. Participating Public and Private institutions included;
- Cocoa Research Institute of Ghana (CRIG), a division of Ghana Cocoa Board -Tafo Eastern Region of Ghana; led by Dr Adu Ampoma and Mr William Quito. Products at the 3 days forum and campaign were developed cocoa by-products.
- Koala Shopping Mall, Osu- Accra, assembled it's Supermarket’s products and supplied specialised bread with natural cocoa beverage.
- Hords Ghana Limited exhibited Brown Gold Natural Cocoa Powder brand for introduction, promotion and campaign for the awareness of health benefits derived from it’s consumption.
- Frieshland Ghana Limited, manufacturers of peak milk brand, exhibited their brand for market promotion during the activities.

The event was launched by Ms Hannah Serwaa Tetteh - Minister for Trade and Industry (2009-2013); officially nominated by the late Prof. John Evans Atta Mills, President of Ghana (2009-2012); and co-supported by the Ministry of Tourism.
Key roles were played by staff including;
- Miss Dora King (the then Company Secretary and Staff Manager, in charge of Graphic Designs and supervision of all companies with exhibition stands).
- Mr. Jacob Kofi Ayitey (Supervision of all daily sales of products during exhibition and managing participating schools)
Objectives:
Created health benefit awareness, Promoted and launched the nationwide campaign for holistic consumption of natural cocoa powder beverage consumption for the first time in Ghana.
Successful practical results achieved. We devoted all time and spent the limited profits from sales of natural cocoa powder purchased from Hords Ghana Limited with our resources to serve basic schools including corporate entities and Ghana Government institutions.
Collaborated with participating public and government institutions to ensure wider educational health awareness, coupled with alertness for the holistic consumption of this wonderful food supplement (natural cocoa powder); with the aim to reach the unreachable communities within the 16 regions of Ghana..
